Day 2
Discover the Natural Beauty of Tortuguero National Park
Journey stars like a rooster style in the early morning driving through then
mountains with spectacular views. Then, it’s on to Siquirres where we embark on a
river journey with a Local Specialist through protected wetlands and on to secluded
Tortuguero, gliding through canals, lagoons and lowland rainforest. Visit the Village
of Tortuguero for a culturally enriching experience meeting Tortuguero Village
pioneers and learning about their way of life.
Tortuguero hotel where you’ll learn the story of how the lodge was built with
materials that protect this biodiverse environment and natural habitat. Later, enjoy dinner at your hotel accompanied by the enchanting sounds of resident cicadas
and tree frogs.
Day 3
Visit the wildlife of Tortuguero National Park
Cruise the canals and streams of the park today with a Local Specialist as howler
monkeys watch from the treetops, toucans and egrets fly through the air and
crocodiles ply the cool waters. Visit the Village of Tortuguero. The marine turtles
nesting season stars in July until October.
Day 4
Sample Pineapple in Sarapiquí
Bid adiós to Tortuguero and head back to the mainland where we’ll enjoy lunch
before meeting the Tico family for a experience at their pineapple tour. There you’ll
learn about and sample the delicate pineapple. After the tasty experience We
drive to Arenal Volcano for a comfortable rooms with AC.
Day 5
Arenal Volcano Experience
Waking up in a glomourous camping Dome inmerse in rainforest before heading to have a volcano walk, waterfall view & Hotsprings of Baldi.
Waterfall La Fortuna
La Fortuna Waterfall cascades 200 feet (61 meters) down the sheer cliff face of
Cerro Chato, the Arenal Volcano’s dormant and thickly forested twin. One of the
most impressive and accessible waterfalls in Costa Rica, La Fortuna is a great
place to picnic, swim, and photograph the waterfall’s perpetual mists and nearby
exotic vegetation.
Day 6
Travel between Arenal to Monteverde. You will be driving around the Arenal Lake with
spectacular views of the mountais. Stop at café Macadamia after 1 and half hour for a
Lake photo and a tasty snack.
El Trapiche Tour, a Costarican family business where you can enjoy a 01 and a half hour of tour.
The tour begins with a short walk through the farm where you can get a glimpse of plantations as sugar cane, coffee, cocoa and more. Enjoy the entire coffee process, the artisanal cocoa process and sugar cane traditional process and experience the process of making the traditional sugar cane candy, to finish delight yourself with a fragrant cup of coffee from our farm and a tradicional dish of picadillo de arracache. Also you have free degustations on your tour!
Day 7
Wander the Monteverde Cloud Forest
This morning, join your Local Specialist guide for an excursion through the lush
rainforests of Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Ascend to the treetops high
above the jungle floor below, treading lightly along the Sky Walk suspension
bridges amongst the wildlife that find sanctuary in the boughs of the surrounding
canopy. Leisure afternoon to experience the Quaker territory your own paste.
Day 8
Transfer from Monteverde to Marala. We will drive over de continental divide Mountains of Costa Rica on the way the best panoramic views of the trip. We will enjoy a crocodile tour at the tarcoles river before arriving to Marala. The tour takes place in very comfortable and safe boats, down the Rio Grande de Tárcoles, in the Central Pacific of Costa Rica, this is home to approximately 2,000 crocodiles, some of which grow up to 15 feet long and weigh up to 1,500 pounds.
Our guide will provide you with valuable information about the wildlife and environment around us.
We will get very close so you can appreciate American crocodiles of all sizes, the river is a paradise for observing beautiful and exotic birds! Enjoy spectacular jungle landscapes and navigate the dense channels of the Guacalillo mangrove swamp. See wildlife in a comfortable and safe environment suitable for all members of the family. After the crocodile tour We will check in at hotel to enjoy the most espectacular sunset of the central Pacific coast.
Day9
Manuel Antonio National Park
Considered one of the most beautiful parks in Costa Rica. We will visit pristine beaches, with coral reefs, bordered by exuberant vegetation and the natural wonders of the tropical rainforest. The beaches in Manuel Antonio are highly coveted as some of the best that Costa Rica has to offer.
On the way to Manuel Antonio National Park, you will travel along the coastline
enjoying scenic views, including African palm plantations. You will also travel past
small villages along the Pacific Coast, until you reach the port of Quepos and the
ultimately the National Park.
Since access to the park itself is closed to vehicles, you will hike to the preserve.
Once in the park, you can simply relax and enjoy the beach, sunbathe, or hike
through the park’s trails, which will allow you to observe Manuel Antonio’s
abundant flora and fauna. Several species of monkeys, iguanas, birds and possibly
even the three-toed sloth can be seen.
If you chose to hike the trail to Cathedral Point, do not forget your camera; the
views of the park and the sea are simply spectacular!
Day 10
Leisure day at Marala Hotel.
Day 11 & 12
Time to say HASTA LA VISTA to Costa Rica, drive over 2 hours to San Jose Hotel.
Overnight at San Jose and 20 minutes drive to take the international flight back
home. PURA VIDA!!!!
